Formed back in 2009, The Difference have been playing together for a number of years and have put together an eclectic array of cover songs ranging from the 1960’s right through to the modern day classics.
Covering bands such as Dire Straits, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, at the same time as producing sounds from the likes of The Killers, The Kaiser Chiefs and Kings of Leon, The Difference have been praised for their widely diverse repertoire and ability to perform many different genres of music.
Constantly updating their set and adding to their fine collection of cover songs, The Difference are an exciting, energetic and modern covers band suitable for any occasion.
The Difference have become locals in many pubs around Salisbury and Newbury. Although we often play Weddings, Birthdays and Corporate Events, the band loves getting together to play pub gigs.

The Old Inn is a beautiful country pub in Allington and one of the Difference’s favourites. The band are here on average every 3 months but if you can’t make it to a gig, we would definitely recommend visiting for one of Rob’s Roasts!
You will find the Difference playing at this popular pub most Bank Holiday weekends. With plenty of space and lively locals this pub makes for a great night out. We also encourage up and coming singers to have a go in intervals so there is something for everyone!
The Earl is one of the first pubs the band started playing in. From New Years Eve parties to Charity events, the Earl has hosted some of our most successful gigs. This pub is always buzzing with a brilliant atmosphere and not forgetting it is also The Salisbury and South Wilts CAMRA Country Pub of the Year!
