Kieran
A founding member of the band, Kieran has been here from the beginning and is the front-man for The Difference. He can be heard at every show, providing lead vocals and strumming away on the guitar.

Phil
A founding member who’s been here since day one, Phil is the band’s lead guitarist, providing backing vocals alongside Kieran and throwing in the occasional cheeky guitar solo when he feels like showing off.
Likes - Toto.

If I wasn’t a musician I'd be? “A drummer.”
Pete
Pete joined The Difference in 2013 after meeting Ben at university, and has held on to that stupid emo fringe ever since. The band’s bassist, he’s determined to get as much of the Shrek soundtrack into the set as possible.
Likes - Christmas and his nan.
Dislikes - “Sunlight. Being outdoors in general to be honest.”

Stef
Stef has been with the band since 2016, and joined when Phil caught him performing at a show one night, poaching him for The Difference the moment the set finished. He now shares drumming duties with Ben.
Likes - Travelling.

John
A founding member of the band, John was The Difference’s pianist for several years before he stepped back for a while to pursue other projects. He’s now returned though, and can be heard on the keyboard once again.

Ben
Joining in 2012, Ben was The Difference’s drummer for several years before having to take a step back from the limelight for a while in 2016. However, he returned to the fold in 2018, and now shares drumming duties with Stef.

Tom
A founding member of the band, Tom was The Difference’s original bassist before he had to leave for university. He’s now back, but this time on his favourite instrument, sharing lead guitar (and epic solo) duties with Phil.
Likes - Watching movies.

Remembering Jonny Kent
Jonny was one of the five original members of the band when we came together back in 2009. We sadly lost Jonny to a tragic accident in 2012, and he is dearly missed by family, friends and his ‘brothers’ in the band.
Jonny was the drummer in The Difference and was known for his enthusiasm, his love of music and his pure talent. He was the life and soul of the band, always smiling and chatting to anyone he came across, cider in hand!
The band’s success to this day is built on Jonny’s energy and passion, and there are several of his favourite songs that have lasted in the set list to this day.
We’re sure he is drumming and dancing along with us.
